Roly & Mel have known each other for 20 years and share a soul connection. Marisel is Roly’s partner, and together they live with their two children in the Sacred Valley. They share their passions and knowledge in Authentic Movement, movement therapy, music, art, and Andean culture, running a family project with retreats and workshops. The whole family is wholeheartedly involved. You can connect with them, here.
After years of longing, Mel had the chance to visit them and this sacred place and experience its profound gifts. She found deep gratitude and rediscovered inner strength and now feels called to invite others to experience the magic of the Sacred Valley. Roly Dávila & Marisel la Rosa, founders of Move & Heal in Peru are sharing their knowledge and experience in movement therapy, healing and ancestral ceremonies. Their body work integrates Andean tradition, wisdom, and spirit. They're passionate about the holistic awareness of the body/mind as a vehicle for learning and human development.
Together they have a family with 2 children, they are managing an art/retreat center themselves in the Valley and are regularly organising events and workshops, bringing people together to move and heal.
More about them personally, see below.
We are a family that lives in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we have a 2-year-old and 10-year-old daughter, this makes us live more than ever in the present, in every moment.
We decided to leave the city and live among sacred mountains because we believe that here we can be more connected to life, closer to the pure air of the heights, to the land and its cicles, to its ancestral medicine.
Marisel's mother (Elbra Bravo), a healing woman through ancestral Andean symbols, and her father (Tito La Rosa), a recognized musician and ancestral sound healer, were sowing inside her from a young age, the love for Andean tradition, magic of life and trust in human trasnformational processes.
From a young age, Roly learned from art, theater and dance, which opened the path for his body and movement to think and feel in other ways.
We met dancing, brought together our lifes and also our knowledge, that's how Move & Heal was born, and with it, our family.
We are a couple who have many questions, and look for answers in the Andean tradition, in nature, in body and movement.
We are also partners who travel through lights and shadows, and within those shadows, Andean wisdom teaches us that we are not opposites, but complementary, that we are different and those differences nourish our love and constantly renews us.
We learn from each experience, from each person who comes to live with us.
From here, we open our hearts and our home, to support others in their own processes.
This is an invitation to live the present with us, to share everything that is also healing us in this fertile, generous and inspiring valley.
Mel follows the sun and the moon. She loves spending time in nature, moving - especially dancing - and has made it her passion to support and accompany people on their heart’s path in their visions.
She also sees her task as bringing people together - in spaces - where each person can feel welcome and ‘at home’. In her work, she integrates her knowledge and experience from movement pedagogy (dance, impro, authentic movement, BMC®) as well as coaching in the field of holistic nutrition, psychology of eating and all related life topics.
With Mel, you focus once again on the core needs so that they are well-nourished to enable personal growth and success.
